Sister
Elaine Arsenault was born and raised in Borden, Prince Edward Island,
and is one of 11 children. She attended elementary public school
and then Kinkora Catholic High School.
After grade
11, she went to business college in Toronto for two years and then
worked in the hospitality industry until her retirement in 1992.
At that time,
she followed her life-long dream and entered the society of the
Sisters of Social Service sss
in 1996. Her first profession of vows was in 1999 and immediately
after, she went to Regis College in Toronto to study for her Masters
in Ministry and Spirituality. She received this degree in 2001.
She made her final vows in Toronto at Pentecost in 2003 (June 7).
Sister Elaine was hired as Director of the John Paul II Centre by
the Archdiocese of Regina in August, 2001. She enjoys creating new
programs at JPII and meeting the many people who come to the Centre.
Sister Elaine's
hobbies include singing and playing guitar.
