This session will include an overview of the Contemporary music writing
in the 20th and 21st centuries including some works by the major composers.
In addition, the facilitator will do a brief analysis of his latest musical
works.
Facilitated by Dr. Alain Perron
Many of Alain’s works have been recorded on CD and played in many
countries throughout Europe, Asia and the former Soviet Union. He is artistic
director of the Nouvel Ensemble a Cordes de Quebec and has been teaching
music composition at the University of Regina since July 2002.
The Beauty of Music is a series of four workshops.
