One of the most politically powerful religious movements in the world today is Fundamentalism.

Where did it come from? What was its agenda? What is the basis of its power?

This session will use Protestant Christian Fundamentalism as a case study through which to understand the world-wide Fundamentalist movement.

Facilitator: Dr. William Stahl
Dr. Stahl is Professor of Sociology at Luther College, University of Regina. He is also author of God and the Chip: Religion and the Culture of Technology and co-author of Webs of Reality: Social Perspectives on Science and Religion.


The 'isms' of Faith Series is comprises four workshops. Learn about the ísms' of faith, and how through knowledge and understanding, spiritual growth is made possible! This is an educational series for personal growth and religious affirmation.

All sessions are held Thursdays, except Fundamentalism (on a Wednesday), from 7:30 - 9:30 pm. The workshops in this series are:

February 5 - Pluralism, with Dr. Kang-nam Oh
February 12 - Gnosticism with Dr. William Arnal
February 18 - Fundamentalism with Dr. William Stahl
February 26 - Anti-Semitism with Dr. Jackie Kuikman
