This session will deal with the basic Christian attitudes toward the other religions.

It will also discuss some controversial aspects related to interreligious dialogue. There will be an attempt to explore the complementary relationship in world religions, specifically between Christianity and Buddhism.


Facilitator: Dr. Kang-nam Oh
Dr. Oh received his BA and MA degrees in Religious Studies with specialty in Christianity from Seoul National University in Korea. He also received a PhD in Religious Studies with specialty in Buddhism from McMaster University in Canada. He is currently teaching at the University of Regina.


The 'isms' of Faith Series is a comprises four workshops. Learn about the ísms' of faith, and how through knowledge and understanding, spiritual growth is made possible! This is an educational series for personal growth and religious affirmation.

All sessions are held Thursdays, except Fundamentalism (on a Wednesday), from 7:30 - 9:30 pm. The workshops in this series are:

February 5 - Pluralism, with Dr. Kang-nam Oh
February 12 - Gnosticism with Dr. William Arnal
February 18 - Fundamentalism with Dr. William Stahl
February 26 - Anti-Semitism with Dr. Jackie Kuikman
