18th Century Sacred Vocal Music

In this multi-media presentation, we will explore together two famous sacred vocal works from the 18th century - Bach’s Mass in b minor and Mozart’s Requiem.

How did musical styles and tastes change over the course of the century? What role did faith play in the lives of these composers? Come and listen!

Facilitated by Dr. Barbara Reul

Barbara is an assistant professor of Luther College, University of Regina. She teaches courses on musicology and music history.
