Genealogy - An Introductory Course on Family History Research

Wednesdays: September 25, October 2 & 9 (7:30 - 9:30 p.m.)

Genealogy is the investigation or search of a person's lineage or family tree.

You will learn:

  • to preserve and store your personal resources, paper and artifacts.
  • to chart your family tree and become knowledgeable about terminology and abbreviations.
  • the benefits and pitfalls of using a computer for genealogy.

You will take a look at personal, local and provincial resources and their locations. Some national resources will also be included, along with hints and suggestions.

Facilitated by Louise Petschulat
Louise is a Certified Saskatchewan Record Searcher and Researcher; at present, Dean of the College of Certified Saskatchewan Researchers. Louise teaches beginners classes, gives public presentations, volunteers for the Saskatchewan Genealogical Society and has published four Family History books.
