Introduction to basic mime movement through warm up exercises and stretching.
We will then work on movement interpretation and playwriting using music,
poetry and gospel stories.
This will be a very practical workshop with participants being involved
in solo and group mime exercises. Participants should come dressed in
comfortable clothing that they can move and stretch in. This workshop
will be of special interest to teachers and youth co-ordinators.
Facilitator - Pat Roth
Pat, with a B.A. in Psychology and Religious Studies and a degree in Fine
Arts education, is keenly interested in enhancing education through the
integration of creative disciplines such as drama and mime. Pat has performed
professionally at numerous events over the past eight years. He has toured
with the Saskatchewan Cultural Exchange Society as a workshop leader in
the area of drama.
