This session will talk about the terminology, language and the barriers
to people with disabilities. Four models will be presented.
Facilitators: Bev Duncan and Sherry Ehmann
Sherry Ehmann is an adult living with a disability. She has worked in
the disability movement for the past 10 years. She is a member of the
Saskatchewan Voice of People with Disabilities. Her greatest gift is her
daughter, Ashley.
Bev Duncan is the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Voice of People
with Disabilities. She is an adult with a disability. She has worked for
the Voice for the past 16 years. She is a mom of two, and the grandmother
of one grandson.
The Gift of Life series
are workshops designed to help understand the many complexities of having
a disability. People with disabilities have a voice and this is a chance
to listen, understand and be compassionate.
