This hour of praying together for unity among Christians and for reconciliation
among all humanity is based on the daily prayer form of the ecumenical
community of brothers at Taize, France.
It consists of simple prayer: chants (short songs sung repeatedly and
meditatively), psalms of praise, petition and thanksgiving, short readings
from scripture, intercessory prayers and periods of silence.
