Parish Home Ministry of Care Program
Communication and Visiting

Wednesday, November 17 (7:30 - 9:30 pm)

Often we don’t know what to say or do when we are with sick or grieving persons.

This session will lessen this fear and the need to fix things.

Participants will learn to have confidence and courage just to be with those who are suffering.

Facilitated by Gladys McElwee and Karen Ziegler

Cost: Individual sessions - $10 per night
All sessions $50
Parish discount (all sessions): $125 (3 - 4 persons)

Parish Home Ministry of Care Program is a series of five workshops.
This is a program for responding to the needs of the sick, elderly, homebound, and bereaved members of the Parish Community. Not all parishes have enough participants to offer training for this program in their parish, so the John Paul II Centre is offering the following for individuals from various parishes in the diocese. A Certificate of Attendance will be issued for those who attend ALL sessions. Interested persons may register for one, two or all sessions.

All sessions are held Wednesdays from 7:30 - 9:30 pm. The workshops in this series are:

October 27 - Our Call to Service - Vince Morrison

November 3 - Sacrament of the Sick - Fr. John Weckend

November 10 - Grief and Grieving - Dolores Fehr

November 17 - Communication and Visiting - Gladys McElwee and Karen Ziegler

November 24 - Praying with Others - Sr. Audrey Daoust, SCSL

Cost: All sessions $50
Individual sessions - $10 per night
Parish discount (all sessions): $125 (3 - 4 persons)
