October 5 (7:30 - 9:30 p.m.) In just over one hundred years, film has travelled around the world, creating a truly global phenomenon. This session will focus on representations of religion in world cinema. Through a variety of film examples, participants will explore together how religious practices, myths, and symbols are depicted in film and how they work to create meaning and identity.
