Year of the Eucharist: Nurturing Full, Conscious,
Active participation in your Parish
Monday, September 12 and Tuesday, September 13 (7:00-9:00 p.m.)
The liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the
Church is directed: it is also the fount from which all her power
flows. (Const. on the Sacred Liturgy 1:10)
Mother Church earnestly desires that all the faithful should
be led to that full, conscious, and active participation in liturgical
celebrations which is demanded by the very nature of the liturgy
to which the Christian people have a right and obligation by reason
of their baptism (ibid 1:14)
As this Year of the Eucharist draws to a close in October, you are
invited to reflect on the Mass and its central importance in your
faith life and that each of us as members of the gathered assembly
of the faithful are welcome to join in deepening our understanding
of the Eucharistic Liturgy and Gods call to worship with praise
and thanksgiving.
