Wednesday, June 18
(7:30 - 9:30 pm)
On a daily basis,
we can see conflict smoldering and flaring out within and between families.
Thus, our world is wounded and contorted.
This workshop will address the following:
- how are Christians, who are inevitably caught up in such collapse, often
systematic, to respond?
- how can we move from conflict to compassion?
- how can we be prophets of hope rather than gloom and doom?
Facilitated by Bert Pitzel
Bert, a retired teacher, is presently social justice coordinator for the
Archdiocese of Regina. He especially values his trip to Brazil to study
the Sem Terra movement, his presence at the protests at Quebec City, his
involvement in the founding of the Ecumenical Restorative Justice group,
and his participation in the development of the Emerging Strategy for
Social Justice in the Archdiocese of Regina.
Cost: $10.
