Using the 'Our Father' as Liberation Prayer

Wednesday, May 28 (7:30 - 9:30 pm)

For more than three years, a Regina group called 'Friends on the Outside' has offered support to the often marginalized families of inmates incarcerated in various Saskatchewan prisons.

This presentation will invite individuals to join a shared circle of prayer and reflection as the group ponders the meaning of the 'Our Father'.

It will be an evening of peace and relaxation - joy, too - with a gentle employment of music and images.

Facilitated by 'Friends on the Outside' and Reverend John Matheson, sj

The 'Friends on the Outside' is not an advocacy group, but rather an ecumenical Christian gathering who tries to find inspiration in the Good News of the Gospels.

Father John Matheson, a Jesuit, is a Spiritual Director who has implemented various Christian media projects among ethnic groups in North America and elsewhere. John is, of course, involved in Regina's 'Friends on the Outside' which seems to be a rapidly expanding program in Western Canada.
