Taking a look at the components for effective evangelization, how can
we better initiate and/or reintroduce people to the Good News of the Gospel?
Using the examples of the ALPHA program and the philosophy of R.C.I.A.,
we will explore the possibilities which these bring to the parish.

Fr. John Weckend has been a priest for the Archdiocese of Regina for over
30 years. He has served on the Archdiocesan Liturgical Commission and
is currently dean for the Regina East deanery. He is also chairperson
for the Archdiocesan Vision Quest Committee and is pastor of Holy Child/St.
Joseph the Worker parish in Regina.
