The Healing Garden: A Place of Peace Series

All things on our planet, both animate and inanimate, are related and must be in harmony for peace and balance both within ourselves and the earth.

Thursday, May 5 - Internal Healing and Peace (7:00 - 9:00 p.m.)
Interpersonal relationships and the communication process; clearing the “clutter” that affects individual relationships with self and others; forgiveness in relation to health; gratitude and making peace with others; living in balance while managing day to day matters.

Thursday, May 12 - External Healing and Peace (7:00 - 9:00 p.m.)
The role of a garden as a place of healing; the relationship between colour and the healing aspects of chromotherapy; phytochemistry and the relationship of food colours and healing; plants as a method of maintaining health; the process of growing herbs indoors and out.

Thursday, May 19 - Planetary Peace and Healing (7:00 - 9:00 p.m.)
The components of living a life of simplicity; the process of contributing to the planet in a conscious way; creating a “garden for the soul”; examing the process of thinking “globally and acting locally”.

Facilitated by Gwen Nyhus Stewart

Gwen is a Master Gardener, Horticultural Therapist, Social Worker, Educator and Author who resides in Regina. She conducts seminars and has taught various classes at the University of Regina and other educational institutions. Gwen is a free-lance writer, a garden consultant, and designs sacred space and healing gardens.

Cost: $10 per session.
