Wednesday, February
2 (7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.)
Female characters from literary sources have been the focus of Caras
work for the past few years. The women she relates to are ordinary women;
women of strength, women of principle, silenced women, women you had to
use your imagination with to fill in the blanks. Cara uses a vessel to
express herself, as both the vessel and the body share human attributes.
She will focus on the spirituality of the vessel and the interior space
which is symbolic of our thoughts and our own inner spirit.
Facilitated by Cara Gay Driscoll
Cara Gay Driscoll was born and raised in Regina. She received her BA majoring
in visual arts in 1992. In 1993 she set up her studio. The Assiniboia
Art Gallery is the agent for her work, where Forgotten Women of
the Bible was a recent exhibition.
Cost: $10
Registration deadline Jan.31.
